“twenty-one” is a piece for drumset and electronics. written in November 2021. all electronics created using Ableton Live 10.

“twenty-one” presents a fun, challenging, and musical piece for any intermediate-advanced drummer. there is plenty of room for improvisation (both free improv and rhythmic improv within the grooves of the song), and a challenging last section that will be rewarding to study and master. “twenty-one” is intended to be studied and played with intent by the performer, and as such would make an excellent and unique addition to any recital or solo concert.
